Race Details

The Course

The Yankee Springs Deep Lake Trail is approximately 11 miles of single track trail that runs through the heart of the Yankee Spring Recreation Area. The trail is fast and flowing in most sections and includes several technical climbs and descents. Racers will face roots, rocks and sand throughout.

The trail is predominantly sandy and known to drain extremely well.  It is one of the few trails in the area that can be ridden after rainy conditions, so don't worry if there is rain in the forecast.

The Deep Lake trail is 95% single track, but affords enough passing room for courteous racing. With participants going off every 10 seconds, there is plenty of space between riders, so... it's you against the trail.

The main section of the Deep Lake trail is used for the race.  For our 36th year, the race will run in the RED direction.

The warm-up loop will be used for the kids races starting at [TBD] but will be open the remainder of the day.

Race Update: You spoke, we listened. The 2025 YSTT survey showed racers prefer the original start order, so categories will once again start in order of registration.

The Yankee Springs Time Trial is an all-volunteer-run West Michigan Mountain Biking Alliance (WMMBA) benefit event. All proceeds support WMMBA's efforts to maintain and improve trails in West Michigan.
