What’s a Devil’s Soup Bowl?
The bowl is a huge, glacially carved bowl in the earth that was formed about 10-13,000 years ago. Sorry, you won’t be riding into the Bowl- the slopes are too steep and no riding trails descend into it. But you do circle the rim of the Devil’s Soup Bowl on the Yankee Springs Deep Lake Trail- take a minute in your training ride to admire the power of the glaciers. You can hike down into the bowl if you are up for a foot-based adventure. The depth is approximately 100 feet on a steep grade.
